About Me

My name’s Beth and I’m SO happy you’re here.

My husband Sam and I are parents to 2-year old Henry and we’re soon-to-be parents of another little rugrat (due next week actually!).

We recently moved to Berry which is on the south coast of NSW. Being lovers of the country as well as the sea, it’s the perfect place for us.

I have a Bachelors degree in Social Work and a Masters Degree in Forensic Mental Health. Prior to motherhood, I was a caseworker working with children in foster care. It was a humbling and satisfying job.

My passion is people and while I loved my career, I wanted nothing more than to be a stay at home mum when the time came.

In 2016, my husband and I quit our jobs, went on a road trip around Australia and then soon fell pregnant.

In early 2017, along came Henry. The transition to motherhood was harder than I expected in some ways. I loved motherhood and wanted to continue being at home

I found myself wanting to do something else that lit my soul on fire. I needed that ‘something’ to exist alongside motherhood rather than outside of it.

That’s how Mum Volition was born.

This blog was my way of continuing to invest in my passion for people. Recording my motherhood journey really helped me to process it and helped me to become an intentional parent. I decided to share my experiences in the hope that it would help other mums to do the same.

In mid-2018 I launched Tea for She which is another passion project. The philosophy of Tea for She is that every woman should feel treasured, nurtured and worthy. It’s my hope to spread the message of self-care to women (especially mums) by offering a gorgeous range of organic loose leaf teas, essential oils, and scented candles. I want my business to evolve and become a platform for women to connect and raise each other up.

So please, go and yourself make yourself a tea and stay for a while. If you love what you read, why not sign up to the newsletter? That way, you won’t miss a post, you’ll get VIP codes to use in store and I’ll also flick you some resources to inspire you to be the BEST you can be.
